Katy Student Teacher Earns Education Award

Lauren Redeker, a 2008 graduate of James E. Taylor High School, recently earned the Spring 2012 Always Expect More of Aggies Teacher Award. The award was established by the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Culture in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University with the purpose of recognizing outstanding TLAC student teachers who have demonstrated exceptional work ethic and commitment to the teaching profession. Recipients are recognized by the department and receive a certificate and a $200 scholarship award. Nominated by her university supervisor and cooperating teacher, Redeker received the award for her exceptional effort and dedication during student teaching in initiative, organization, professional integrity, and dedication.
