Restaurant Shift Manager
Location: Hasta la Pasta – Katy. Hours: 35-40 hours per week (mostly nights and weekends)
Pay: $18 to $20 per hour (depending on experience)
Hasta la Pasta has been a beloved, locally owned and operated Italian restaurant in Katy, TX for over 20 years. They take pride in creating memorable dining experiences for their guests and fostering a supportive, family-like environment for their team.
JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager who will oversee daily operations during their shift, ensuring smooth service, high-quality food delivery, and excellent customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work effectively during nights and weekends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and support front-of-house and back-of-house staff during shifts.
Ensure all restaurant operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
Manage staff schedules, breaks, and shift changes.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Train and mentor new employees, fostering a positive team culture.
Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years’ experience in a supervisory or management role in the restaurant or food service industry.
-Strong leadership and communication skills.
-Ability to work nights, weekends as required.
-Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
-Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
-Knowledge of Italian cuisine and wine is a plus.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
COMPENSATION:
Competitive hourly wage ($18 to $20 per hour, depending on experience).
